About Kaye
Kaye D. Shelton, CPA, has handled hundreds of business interruption (loss of earnings), property damage and fraud losses. Lowers Forensics has concentration in investigative accounting and litigation support. Clients include major property insurance companies, law firms, and corporations.
As an investigative auditor, Ms. Shelton concentrates in the measurement of financial damages related to insurance claims with involvement in both property and liability areas. Some of the economic damage issues have included business interruption, property damage, and inventory valuations, partnership disputes, divorce, personal injury, and product liability.
Engagements have also included losses incurred by businesses related to catastrophes such as the World Trade Center and numerous hurricanes throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
Ms. Shelton has been deposed numerous times and has given expert testimony on behalf of insurers and other parties. She has also assisted during depositions and interrogatories prior to trial.
Prior to forming Lowers Forensics International, Ms. Shelton was a partner at Hagen, Streiff, Newton & Oshiro and worked at Campos & Stratis, LLP, which serviced the insurance and legal industries as well.
